It's been an amazing 3 years coming together in this forum to collaborate, innovate, support, and inspire each other about our shared usage of Datorama. While this is not quite a goodbye, we are excited to announce that we are getting a fresh start in our new home within the Salesforce Trailblazer Community. We have a ton of fun new content planned and you may even see the revival of some of our most popular posts from the past few years.

We’ll be keeping this group around for a bit for you to peruse, but as of November 15, we will no longer be allowing new posts or comments. Be sure to join our new group at to keep the conversation going.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Creating a new Dimension associated to a metric

    Hi Isabel

I like the graph you illustrated here, very cute.

If this data stream is created as TotalConnect, I would have suggested apply the Transpose Transformer function in the Data Stream Advanced setting.

In this way, all the different type of reactions will be transposed to one single measurement "Reaction", then map the Transpose Object as "Reaction Type".

There is a similar solution in this post, that you might find useful. Click Here to find out more about Transpose Transformer in our knowledge base.

Unfortunately, the Transform function is not available in the API Connector Data Stream; In this case, the other solution is what we call Re-immersion.

    High level steps are:

    1. Create an report contains the reaction metrics and other relevant dimension.
    2. Once this report is created, download the file to create a data stream via TotalConnect so that you can use the Transpose Transform function as mentioned above. We can call this the re-immersion data stream.
    3. To automatically update this re-immersion data stream, copy the FTP details from the data stream and apply it to the Report Scheduling setting.

Here is the support articles about Re-immersion from our knowledge base for your reference.

If you have further questions when implementing this solution, please email to [email protected] and they can support you in a timely manner.

    Thank you.
