hi everyone,
We use Media Ocean to manage all TV and Radio buys. The team is very adamant about pushing it in Datorama but I have a hard time seeing how it'd work.  So I'm just wondering if anyone here have experience working with traditional media data in Datorama? Specifically from Media Ocean? If so how you did you make it work?

Thank you for getting in touch. Are you able to export this data out of media ocean or can they create a report for you that we could then bring into Datorama via TotalConnect?

Just confirming that we use media ocean data via a FTP totalconnect.

If anyone uses any sources that does not have a connector yet in Datorama, you can push the data via scheduled email or FTP method.
It might also be helpful to explore the pull method under Total Connect's advanced settings. Hope this helps!

Hi @KAster,

We don't have any plans to develop an API connector for Media Ocean in the near future, however, we will look into it and see how this can be integrated into our roadmap.

The best way to bring Media Ocean data into Datorama today would be via FTP/Email/Google Spreadsheet or any potential scheduled reporting that Media Ocean can provide.

Was this ever resolved? Media Ocean was our first data stream in Datorama. We've been able to load TV and Radio buys, automate impression delivery by DMA, utilize the geo-maps to monitor delivery, and develop reporting to monitor weighted underdelivery by market and station. Happy to help where needed.

So I am also facing this problem to connect the PRISMA every time we need to schedule the report to send it to the Datorama platform, is there any other solution?

Hi @suranjit_banik123, to raise any request of connector that is not available yet, the best way forward will be to reach out to your CSM who can help you compile use cases and consider prioritization. In the meantime, your best option would be either the pull/push way under TotalConnect automation methods.

There are instances that I have worked on in datorama, that pull in the reports from FTP locations via Prisma. So as long as your local rep can pass the files, this process can be automated. Let me know if you would like to find out more.

Hi @Kamlesh_Mistry, Is there a way to automate MediaOcean Spectra reports into datorama?Or have anyone come across it? As far as I've checked, there's no way to schedule the reports from Spectra to any FTP/ email or am I wrong?

The vendor UI might differ depending on your location, but in the UK I have managed to work with MediaOcean to get files scheduled into a FTP, which can then be retrieved via the datastreams. You may need to reach out to your local MO technical contact.

Way we're dealing with this is reading from to the EQ MediaOcean database rather than through UI. Although due to security restrictions have to import data to intermediate database then have datorama connect to intermediate database rather than directly to the production database.

Spoke to the MediaOcean Rep, he said it would need code changes and we would need to spend extra bucks to set it up.
